Upcoming...

There are three films I am highly anticipating.

The first is Candy. An Australian film, it co-stars Heath Ledger, Abbie Cornish and Geoffrey Rush, among others. It's based on the novel of the same name by Luke Davies, and is directed by Neil Armfield. Aust release: 25 May.

The second is A Prairie Home Companion. This is directed by Robert Altman and features a rather well-known line-up of actors, including Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Kline, Lindsay Lohan, Virginia Madsen, John C. Reilly, Meryl Streep and Lily Tomlin. Aust release: ?

The third is The Devil Wears Prada. This film is also based on a book (by the same name). A still from the film is above. The cast includes Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt. The image is from www.simplystreep.com. Aust release: apparently not until September.

Official Site: http://www.devilwearspradamovie.com The trailer should be up very shortly. At the moment, there is a short clip from the film up on the site, but it downloads quicker at http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/thedevilwearsprada/.

I agree. Although the clip appears to be heavily edited, it looks like the film has no intention to take itself too seriously.

I was watching Trailer B too.

It is not the official trailer. I believe it is only supposed to be like a sample clip from the film. The actual 'trailer' has not been released yet.

I reckon it's very heavily edited. Just watch it again. You'll see.

I don't care if the film is lightweight, Meryl is never less than bloody brilliant. I mean Christ, she even made SHE DEVIL watchable. No mean feat ...

Hope you are doing okay young man. I am also looking forward to Prada and Prairie! lol ... would you recommend Prime? Thing is, I'd pay to see Meryl sit in silence for two hours, but I have read bad reviews. Let's face it though, she will be incredible.

Yes, I would definately recommend 'Prime' to you. I saw it at the cinema (that seems like ages ago now...you're getting a pretty late release over there!). And I've got the DVD.

It's not an unforgettable classic, but it has its moments, the best of which are supplied by Meryl, naturally. Her reactions are very funny.

    Yep, go to see it.

I gotta say, I didn't like the music. Too...hard..? Not sophisticated enough. Then again, some ppl would think it is.

Take a look at when Meryl says "Details of your incompetency do not interest me". Then she says, "Who's that?". There is hardly a gap between those two lines, and she ends up with her coat off, significantly progressed into the office... There are a couple of other things like that too.

Ha, this is getting a little too analytical now...
