I used to read Phillip Adams' columns when I was a kid, but I came to the conclusion that although he is an intelligent guy, he is essentially the Miranda Devine of the 'Left', indulging in name-calling and so on. While the Devines of the world may deserve it, I don't think it does the 'Left' people any good to be associated with attacking people because they believe something rather than attacking the beliefs themselves. Adams does both, but he should just stick to the latter (as he does in this latest column).
