05 to 06

To quote my good friend, Hayden, over at The Usual Thoughts (theusualthoughts.blogspot.com), may 2006 be better than 2005. And that is not necessarily to say that 2005 was a bad year. Indeed, the year witnessed a lot of good things, in a global sense and, I'm sure, for each of us personally. Though, it did carry a lot of crap and sadness we could have done without..... The words "crap and sadness" are an odd combination, yeah.

Asia began the still-ongoing recovery process, the mess that is Iraq got messier, a certain Georgie boy continued to gain pleasure from pouring shit over the planet, England won the Ashes, James Packer became the envy of Prince Charles (who wed Camilla this year too) and Brisbane's city remained small.

Thanks to those of you who read this site: Hayden, Sarah, Lisa, Ryan, Kieran, David and the blog searchers.

Sarah, Lisa and Hayden have provided intelligent and highly enjoyable posts. This blogging thing is pretty good, so it looks like I'll be continuing with it and I hope you do too.
